Javier Jimenez

Javier Jiménez received his Telecommunication Engineering MsC from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, in 2004. He joined Telefónica I+D in 2003, being involved since then in the Network Management, Innovation Strategy and Core Networks and Protocols departments. He has participated in European Research Projects such as ITEA TBONES, IST NOBEL/NOBEL2, IST MUPBED and CELTIC FIRM, related to emerging transport and metro technologies. He recently joined the New Network Technologies division, where he is leading the CELTIC 100GET.es project on 100Gbps Carrier Ethernet, and he is involved in virtualization related Future Internet projects such as IST 4WARD.
